Some personal background to this website's construction ......

Hi. I’m Duncan Petty – an aging but keen learner of new things! I was and am a minister in the Church of England, having retired/refocused in Camborne, Cornwall. Twenty two years ago Ann, my wife, and I planted a new church into one of the deprived housing estates called Tanhouse, in Skelmersdale, Lancashire. This website is here to act as a resource for teaching, training and encouragement for all on a discipleship journey, and who wish to relate their everyday scenarios and the issues in the world around us to their walk with God.

Back in 2014 I also decided to dabble in poetry, having been singularly uninterested in this topic all my life! This was triggered by reading about and from the writing of Wendell Berry, who continues to be an inspiration. Where I think some of these might be helpful they will be posted here.

In much of my journey through life I have been incredibly supported by a huge number of individuals. In this case, and with reference to this website, and many supporting videos now published on You Tube and Spotify, and also on the Camborne Cluster of Churches You Tube channel, I am indebted to Peter Newing. He is an incredible young man, very gifted and hugely talented in all things technological. I value his friendship enormously.
